I have been working as a freelance production designer for more than 10 years.
The combination of expertise, hands-on skills, and a strong passion for design led me to set design – where ideas, tools, and intuition finally clicked into place.
From theory to practice
My career began with training as a photographer, followed by a degree in Film and Television Studies at Ruhr University Bochum.
Along the way, I built a broad and solid foundation across different areas of the media and creative industries, taking on roles at the Bochum Video Festival (Bochum), Bavaria Filmproduktion (Munich), WDR (Dortmund), H&V Filmproduktion (Munich), and ITV Germany (Cologne).
Hands-on work in production design evolved later on – through on-set involvement and by assisting professional designers across various areas of set design and production. Since then, I’ve worked independently on projects spanning commercials, features, TV shows, photo shoots, fairs, and interior styling.
